Charity Fundraising

As many of you know, we actively support a number local and national charities:

• Marie Cure Cancer;
• St. Andrews Hospice (Grimsby);
• When you Wish Upon a Star (Lincolnshire);
• The Odyssey Centre (Barton-Upon-Humber);

We also try to support a number of local youth, eldery and cancer projects when we can with our time, general assistance, Gary's Public Speaking and MC skills and our audio-visual equipment.

In the past couple of years Gill and Gary Payne have cycled from Vilnius, Lithuania to Warsaw, Poland for Marie Curie Cancer Care along with a number of other people who only realised that they must be bonkers once thy approached the start line. We originally were set a target of raising £3,600, in the end we actually raised over £7,500 and when this was added to the group's pot, everyone together raised over £1.4million - wow!

St. Andrew's Hospice

Gary Payne and Craig Collinson were once again acting as Auctioneers for this wonderful, compationate, chairtable cause for their 'Men for Sale' auction - yes you read that right!

When you Wish Upon a Star

Earlier this year we were at the annual Star Dinner Dance at the Beachcomber, Humberstone. An event that raises a lot of money for the charity that helps dreams come true to children who are disadvantaged through life-long illness, events or terminal illnesses.

The event raised around £22,500 with the 'Santa Loo Roll' selling for £700!

They raise the majority of this money for their annual flight to meet Santa in Lapland - Gill and Gary have been to help and it is truly unbelievable. Oh, and by the way, to Gary's Sister - there is a Santa after all - he met him!

Gary is returning with 'When you Wish Upon a Star' on 5th December 2007 to take photographs for the charity and those travelling and to assist at the event.

Tickets for this annual event go very quickly so you will need to make the charity aware if you want to booked a ticket or a table for next years event.
