Learning and Development NVQ Mini Awards

Sometimes, achieving a Full NVQ is not appropriate. It may be that you only need to achieve a single unit of competence from an NVQ. You can do this of course. However, it has also been recognised for some time by the awarding bodies, that there are functions and job roles within organisations, that can be mirrored by a collection of units of competence.

Therefore, there are a number of groups of units of competence that have been brought together as 'Mini Awards'.

Some of these are listed below, yet this is not a finite list:

• Assessor Award (Units A1/A2 - formerly D32/D33);
• Internal Verifier Award (Unit V1 - formerly D34);
